Bahia, the miracle of the Yemenia crash, testifies at trial: “Like an electric shock, and I wake up in the water”

She walks up to the bar all dressed in white, her hair up in a bun and a smile on her face.

Bahia Bakari, 25, was 12 when the plane taking her to Comoros with her mother crashed into the ocean off the island's capital, Moroni, on the night of June 29-30 2009. Since then, everyone has been able to read or hear the story that this “miracle” that became a symbol of the Yemenia crash was able to tell.
