Last May, during a press briefing on the Marie-Thérèse Bonfanti affair, named after this young woman who disappeared 36 years ago and for whom a man had just been indicted, the magistrate proud of the resolution in Isère of another “cold case”: the Marinescu dossier.
The homicides of a mother and her daughter found with their throats slit in 1993 at their home near Grenoble and for which a suspect had been indicted in April 2021, 28 years after the facts.
However, the lawyers of the latter radically contest the elements which led to the incarceration of their client, according to them innocent.
Unlike the first case mentioned by the prosecutor, the alleged perpetrator, never suspected before, did not confess.
On June 8, the renewal of his detention will be examined.
