Trial of the "rapist of the Sambre": in the dark room of Dino Scala

To dive into the life and childhood of Dino Scala is to undertake a descent in apnea, in a kingdom where silence reigns supreme.

Since the opening of his trial on June 10, and more particularly this Monday, the Northern Assize Court has been trying to define the personality of this accused, necessarily out of the ordinary by the scale of the crimes attributed to him - and which he largely acknowledges: 56 rapes, sexual assaults or attempts committed in the space of thirty years.

Devoted family man and model employee by day, aggressor of women by night, in the early morning, the accused remained above suspicion in the eyes of all, until his identification in 2018.
