The T-Roc SUV, launched at the end of 2017 (and therefore already in times of electrification) is the demonstration of the great ability of a large company, such as Volkwagen, to take and travel at the same time several roads, even divergent ones, which in any case point to only one goal: customer satisfaction.

T-Roc, which since its debut has already sold over a million units of which over 110 thousand in the Italian market alone with a total Europe that has exceeded 65 thousand, has therefore established itself as a backbone in the Volkswagen product range, confirming its validity. of the strategy in the SUV segment and, at the same time, without compromising the sales of the main commercial rival, that is the Golf from which it derives directly.

A few successful aesthetic interventions for the Vw T-Roc, with new R-Line

A compact SUV that, together with the other global models of this 'T' family, has contributed and is contributing to the financial results of the Wolfsburg brand by making it - mind you - with a range in which the word 'electricity' refers only to the on-board system that allows you to turn on the headlights or listen to music.

Even in this new generation, the engine range includes only two petrol and two turbodiesel versions, plus a 'performing' R 4Motion with the 2.0 TSI of 300 hp.

In detail, two petrol engines are available for the new T-Roc, namely the 1.0-liter 3-cylinder TSI with 110 hp and the 1.5-liter 4-cylinder TSI ACT with 150 hp.

Completing the range - still proving to be one of the most advantageous and efficient engines today - are the two 2.0-liter TDI SCR diesel four-cylinder engines in 115 and 150 HP ratings.

It should be noted that the latter engine can be coupled to the 4Motion all-wheel drive, while all the other versions of the T-Roc are front-wheel drive.

Both petrol and diesel engines are combined with a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 7-speed DSG dual-clutch transmission.

Consistent with the success of this model,

Volkswagen has not changed the exterior design except in those details that have allowed it to highlight its unmistakable crossover character even more incisively.

T-Roc now features a new grille design, LED headlights and tinted taillights as standard, an option that can also include the innovative LED Matrix IQ.Light headlights (which are complemented by an illuminated strip in the grille) and the newly developed rear light clusters with dynamic direction indicators.

In addition to a renewed range of body colors, the new T-Roc can be ordered with a wide range of newly configured alloy wheels, ranging from 17 to 19 inch diameter.

Alongside the Life and Style trim levels, the new R-Line configuration makes its début offering, with all the engines, the design and unmistakable sporty character of the T-Roc R.

In this case, a specific bumper shield with spoiler and sockets stands out in the front. R-Line air and new daytime running lights, inserted vertically in the two side openings.

For the R-Line version there is also a particular aesthetic treatment of the rear bumper.

As you can see immediately when you get on board the T-Roc, the main changes concern the interior, the dashboard and the ADAS equipment.

The high-tech evolution has resulted in a completely digital display and control system based on the third generation of the modular MIB3 infotainment.

In the new version, a Digital Cockpit (standard on Life) takes over the function of the instrument panel behind the steering wheel, while the Digital Cockpit Pro (standard on Style, R-Line and R) offers another variant with an even larger display. and additional functions.

Also new for the T-Roc is the 8.0-inch infotainment display which - in conjunction with the new Discover Pro infotainment system - reaches 9.2 inches.

New T-Roc is always online: We Connect Plus functions allow the use of innovative digital services, such as the online voice command system based on natural language and access to streaming services.

Numerous advanced assistance systems, previously available only in higher-end models, are standard or optional.

This is the case of the Front Assist, ACC adaptive cruise control and Lane Assist systems, to which, among other things, the IQ.Drive Travel Assist and the predictive ACC cruise control system can be added.

In addition, the functions of the Side Assist system and the Park Assist parking assistance device have been expanded, the latter always standard, which now also manages parking maneuvers in forward motion in transverse spaces and exit from parking lots. parallel to the carriageway.
