The video was posted a few weeks ago on social networks.
A municipal police trainee was filmed in a restaurant in Poitiers (Vienne) dancing with blackface in front of her colleagues.
According to France Bleu, the restaurateur who received municipal officials has since been the subject of death threats and has lost 80% of his turnover.
He filed a complaint at the end of May, the radio still indicates.
The video was shot by a passerby who attended the bachelorette party in costume.
According to witnesses quoted by France Bleu, the young woman wanted to "pay homage to her Martinican grandmother" with her blackface, a decried practice which consists of making up her face in black.
No prosecution initiated
The police officers, who were in training for a few months in Poitiers, were suspended from their training.
“It is then up to the communities to establish these civil servants or not,” explains Didier Mercier-Lachapelle of the Territorial Public Training Center.
So far, no charges have been filed against the officials.
