A 26-year-old woman was killed by several stab wounds in Narbonne (Aude), the prosecution announced on Sunday, a police source stressing that her ex-spouse is wanted.
"An investigation for aggravated homicide has been opened," the prosecution told AFP, without providing further details on the circumstances of the death.
The woman, seriously injured with several stab wounds to the arm and neck, was discovered at the foot of her building on Saturday shortly before midnight, before dying overnight, according to a police source.
Her ex-boyfriend, absent from the victim's home, is actively sought, added the police source, specifying that the departmental security of Aude had been seized.
