The war between Chinese cellular manufacturers is moving to a new sector: OPPO, which is also owned by the Chinese BBK corporation, is expected to soon unveil a new smartphone that will support charging at a huge power of 240 watts for the first time, according to network reports.

This means, according to the company's experiments, that a 4,500 mAh battery can be charged from 0% to 100% in just 9 minutes, and a 50% charge of the battery in 3.5 minutes.

The company uses a technology it has developed itself, known as SuperVOOC, which was first unveiled at the MWC conference in Barcelona earlier this year.

We are expected to see the technology at various companies owned by BBK Corporation - One Plus, iQOO, Rilmi and Vivo (which recently officially arrived in Israel).

According to the publication, the iQOO 10 Pro, is expected to be the first device to come with a 200-watt charging support.

This means charging from 0 to 100% in just 12 minutes.

In any case, in order to achieve faster charging speeds than standard chargers, you will need to be equipped with a compatible wireless charger - and of course a supportive smartphone.

Although it is assumed that fast charging impairs battery life, Chinese manufacturers claim that laboratory tests they have done prove otherwise.
