Trailer for the movie "The Blame" (Nachshon Movies)

Exciting news with the scent of French chic: French film, music and fashion anchor Charlotte Ginsburg will arrive in Israel at the end of the month.

The goddess will be a guest of the Jerusalem Film Festival, which will be launched on Thursday, July 21, and will present two of her latest films - "Hashema" and "Night Birds".

The "blame" was directed by her partner Ivan Atal (who was born in Tel Aviv and then moved to France) and stars their joint son Ivan Atal.

He plays a privileged and non-Jewish young man who sexually assaulted a young ultra-Orthodox Jewish family.

Ginzburg, in one of the most complex and difficult roles of her career, plays his mother.

The film premiered at the last Venice Film Festival.

"Night Birds" arrives in Jerusalem from the Berlin Film Festival, and is a beautiful film that boasts of amazing photography and a crazy soundtrack.

Ginzburg plays a woman who enters the job market for the first time in her life after a painful breakup with her partner, starts working as a junior production assistant on a radio show of conversations with listeners,

Ginzburg, is the daughter of actress and musician Jane Birkin and of the legendary and Jewish musician Serge Ginzburg.

In the past, in an interview with Walla!

Culture, said this about her Jewish identity - "As a child, Judaism was not present in my home at all. My father was known as a Jew, but we had no tradition or heritage. Who is very present.I do not bring anything in this context and do not point a finger, but rely on it completely and he is actually the spiritual teacher of the family.I myself do not believe in anything.I wish I would believe that there is something beyond life or that there is life after death, but is there really such a thing? It seems to me that people are just saying to themselves that it is worthwhile to improve the mood, but there is nothing real about that. "

Ginzburg's previous connection to Israel was when she visited here for the purpose of "They're Everywhere," Atal's comedy that dealt with anti-Semitism and its various forms over the years.

She also starred in Joseph Cedar's English-speaking "Norman," but did not visit the country on this occasion.

Ginzburg is not alone.

Along with her will come to the festival two Oscar winners: Folker Schlandorf ("The Tin Drum") and Leszlo Freckle ("Son of Saul").

As already announced, the festival will also host Ruben Ostland, who this year joined the exclusive and limited club of directors who won the Golden Palm at the Cannes Film Festival twice - for "The Square" five years ago and for "Triangle of Sadness" this year.

Both films will be screened at the festival, as will the rest of his work.
