BMW 2 Series 2022 (BMW)
After being flooded with jeeps and crossovers with the X prefix in their name, BMW's local showroom is about to return to its origins with two renewed coupe cars from the manufacturer that are now arriving in Israel.
Let's start with the "basic" of the two, series 2, which comes here after a year's delay since it was introduced.
In Israel, it is marketed in its 240 version, which comes with dual propulsion and under the hood is compressed a 6-cylinder engine with a volume of 3.0 liters and 374 hp and 51 kg that is connected to an automatic transmission with 8 transmission ratios.
Acceleration to 100 km / h takes 4.3 seconds and top speed is limited to 250 km / h.

Its arrival in this configuration of the senior M240i (above which there will probably be only the M2), says that it is equipped with several assemblies that are supposed to turn it into a real driving candy.
Rear differential with electronic locking, adaptive M Sport shock absorbers, front wheelbase that is 10 mm wide from the rear, ventilated discs in the four corners with an improved cooling system for them and the engine. Some accessories are only available with the senior Track Edition package.
Beyond that she is wearing In the
M
- Performance's exterior and interior design suit, Herman Cardon's audio system, BMW's complete safety systems package includes independent reverse driving of the last 50 meters to assist in exiting parking spaces.
Sport will be the entry-level version for NIS 415,000, above it the M Superior which will cost NIS 440,000 and the M Track Edition which will cost NIS 474,000.

Also the renewed 8 Series here
And on the other side of BMW's box office range is the 8 Series, the big luxury coupe car.
This time, too, it will be marketed here in its three body configurations - Coupe, Cabriolet and Gran Coupe (4 doors).
The configurations are different, but
at this point
they will all use the same propulsion unit - at the base, the same one that is in the 240i you read about.
3.0-liter, six-cylinder engine in a column that delivers 333 hp and 51 kg here.
The paddle is rear-wheel drive and the gearbox here too is a planetary automatic with 8 transmission ratios.
In the future, the muscular 850 version is also expected to arrive with the 4.4-liter V8 engine twin-turbocharged by the manufacturer.
The performance of the versions is affected by the weight of the various configurations, so that in the cabriolet you accelerate by 5.3 seconds per 100, in the Gran Coupe by 5.2 seconds and in the coupe by 5 seconds.
All are limited to a maximum of 250 km / h.
And there is also the tanning version (Photo: Manufacturer's website)
The 8 Series comes in a single trim level, M-Superior which is very well equipped and includes, among other things, a limited-slip (electronic) differential, adaptive shock absorbers, M-sport brakes, a top display for the driver, the complete BMW safety package, adaptive LED lighting, heating and ventilation for the seats Front skin, vehicle data display on the smart key, dashboard and 12.3-inch multimedia system, Herman Cardon audio system - but still without pairing with Android devices.
Series 8 prices start at NIS 905,000 for the coupe and the Gran Coupe and NIS 965,000 for the cabriolet.
Beyond all the "regular" units that are supposed to arrive, one car will also land here in the JEFF KOONS version, the American artist who continues the art cars tradition in BMW.
