The famous Egyptian singer Mohamed Ramadan is under fire after he was recorded with a young Israeli woman at a party on the Greek island of Mykonos last week.
The young woman, Maya Zakaria, uploaded a video of Ramadan singing, dancing and hugging her to TikTok - and overnight the video went viral and caused a stir on social networks and the Egyptian and Arab media.
Some media outlets in Egypt wrote that Ramadan hugged an "Israeli soldier" during a party, but in several places on social media it was clarified that she was not a regular soldier, but had been a soldier in the past.
It is also written that it is not clear if Ramadan knew about the fact that she is Israeli, Jewish and a former soldier.
Maya Zakaria, a resident of Beit Shemesh, told Here 11 that she came to Mykonos as part of a family vacation and as soon as she learned that Muhammad Ramadan, a singer she admires, was at the party - she decided to come to him.
"He didn't know I was Israeli and didn't ask anything."
The last storm.

About two years ago, a storm erupted with the same singer after an official Israeli Twitter page uploaded a picture of Omar Adam hugging Ramadan at a musical event in the United Arab Emirates.
Very quickly, Ramadan began to absorb fire and harsh criticism - both from officials in Egypt and from surfers on social networks.
The Union of Artists in the Land of the Nile decided to suspend its activities and called for an investigation to be opened against it.
In response, Ramadan published a post in which he commented on the decision to suspend him: "I respect the union's decision even though I clarified the story behind my photo with the Israeli. I said that I did not know who it was and if I had known, I would have refused to take a picture with him. Secondly, the place where we took a picture is a restaurant and not A private party. They sang songs in English, French, Arabic and also Hebrew (...). I was in an Arab country and this situation is new. Although I explained all these things to the president of the union, I was prevented from playing in Egypt. Thanks to the actors' union, thanks to the production company that canceled the series The Ramadan that was planned for me, thank you to the audience that supported me. I trust only in God."
The Union of Journalists in Egypt also decided to boycott Ramadan because of the photo.
It was decided there not to publish his name or his picture or news about him.
The journalist from the Emirates, Hamed Al-Mazroui, who is also photographed in the photo next to Omar Adam and Ramadan, made it clear on his Twitter account that Ramadan did not know that this was an Israeli singer.
