The presentation of corona vaccination certificates in the Corona-Warn-App (CWA) will be revised soon.
Health Minister Karl Lauterbach announced this this week in the "Daily Topics" and on Twitter.
There he wrote that in "the CWA a different color of the certificate is provided" for people who have just been vaccinated.
In such cases, the vaccination certificate should be displayed in green instead of blue, Lauterbach explained at a press conference on Friday.
According to Lauterbach, people who were vaccinated against the corona virus no more than three months ago are considered to be freshly vaccinated.
According to SPIEGEL information, the updated presentation of the certificates will be introduced at the end of September.

Colored representation helps with controls in autumn
With its corona measures for autumn and winter, the traffic light plans that newly vaccinated citizens do not have to wear a mask indoors.
They are to be exempted from the mask requirement in hotels and restaurants, for example.
Lauterbach also wants to use it to boost the vaccination campaign and promote a fourth vaccination.

The update in the warning app should help that the vaccination status can be checked more easily and quickly.
The criticism that a fresh vaccination cannot be checked is wrong, Lauterbach wrote on Twitter.
So far, a booster vaccination can be identified by the small plus sign next to »2G«.
The planned display in different colors should make corresponding checks in restaurants or pubs much easier.
The Corona warning app was updated in February so that the vaccination status can be seen at first glance.
Next to the QR code of the vaccination certificate is something like »2G« or »2G+«.

The only thing the Federal Ministry of Health said about the planned changes was that the warning app “has been constantly expanded and improved since it was launched”.
"In this respect, the notification of a recent vaccination, recovery or test does not represent any fundamental innovation," said a spokesman for the ministry.
Vaccination opponents want to delete the app because of the graphic change
On Twitter, some opponents of vaccination compared the plans to a Chinese system in which the state of health is sometimes displayed in different colors.
Some called for the app to be deleted.
However, the addition to the warning app that has now been announced is merely a change in the graphical representation.
This does not change anything in the way the app works.
In China, the app is used to decide the movement radius of citizens and, according to the New York Times, the app can also automatically share data with the police.
The vaccination certificates in Germany, on the other hand, only play a role in controls when people visit a restaurant or a cinema, for example.
The warning app is technically structured in such a way that no movement profiles can be created or conclusions can be drawn about individual individuals.
In addition, according to current plans, citizens will still be able to visit indoor spaces in the fall, regardless of the color of their vaccination certificate.
You only have to wear a mask if necessary, as this protects against infection.
When checking the vaccination status in the warning app, the QR code next to the certificate must still be scanned.
Only this counts as actual, forgery-proof proof, not the status display such as 2G or, soon, a vaccination certificate highlighted in colour.
