A short time ago, Apple sent journalists invitations to an announcement event that will take place on Wednesday in two weeks, September 7, at 20:00 Israel time.
As usual, Apple does not reveal in the official invitation what it is about to reveal, and is content with a teaser for the invitation.
This time, the teaser line is "Far Out" ("Far Out" in free translation).
If there are no special surprises, Apple is expected to reveal a number of devices including the iPhone 14 series. In addition, the company will likely reveal two new Apple Watch models - the eighth model in the series, alongside a new "Pro" model that will come with advanced capabilities and resistance to outdoor conditions.
According to the latest reports, Apple is expected to create some separation between the iPhones, but at the same time to also make order.
The company will apparently part with the mini model, which comes with a 5.4-inch screen, and introduce four new models, which will come in two sizes - 6.1 inches (iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro) and 6.7 inches (iPhone 14 Max and iPhone 14 Pro Max).
However, according to the rumors, only the Pro models will receive an update to the A16 chip along with 6 GB of RAM.
This, in addition to the integration of Always-On Display technology, a feature well known to Android users that allows viewing the time and information while the screen is off.
The base models, iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max, will continue to run on the A15 Bionic chip that is present in the iPhone 13 series, but their working memory will be updated to 6 gigabytes - instead of 4 gigabytes.
On the design side, Apple will probably reduce the gap even more - the prominent black bar will be replaced by two "holes" at the top of the screen that will house the Face ID array and the photo sensor.
Also according to the rumors, Apple will also reveal the Apple Watch 8 series, and for the first time it is also expected to present a "Pro" model that will include improved battery life, a new design and higher durability in outdoor conditions.
In addition, some reports claim that Apple will also unveil the Apple Watch SE 2, the discounted version of its smart watch, but it is not clear if the company will decide to postpone the launch to another date.
