2022 MTV VMAs: Taylor Swift Wins Video of the Year - Breaking a New Record
Taylor Swift won the award for music video of the year and became the first artist to win the award three times, as well as the first artist to win the award for a video that he directed himself.

Three awards, two records.

The VMA, MTV's music video awards ceremony, was held tonight (Sunday to Monday) at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, hosted by El El Cole J, Nicki Minaj and Jack Harlow.
Minaj herself received the Michael Jackson Lifetime Achievement Award tonight and performed with a string of her hits over the years.
The band Red Hot Chili Peppers received the World Icon Award and performed "Black Summer" and "Can't Stop" from their latest album on stage.
Taylor Swift won the video of the year award for the short version of "All Too Well," starring Sadie Sink ("Stranger Things").
In doing so, Swift broke two records: she is the first artist to win the Music of the Year award for the third time, and also the first to win it for a music video that she directed.
Tonight, the singer also won the award for the long music video for the full version of that music video, as well as the award for directing it.

In addition, Harry Styles won the album of the year award for "Harry's House", as well as the best pop award for "As It Was" from it.
He received the award at Madison Square Garden, since that's where he appeared during the ceremony.
BTS was named group of the year, but lost in the K-pop category to Thai rapper Lisa.
Bud Bunny received the Artist of the Year award, becoming the first Latino to win it, while Dove Cameron won Best New Artist.
