On the A3, the police stopped a special kind of animal cruelty: A puppy was transported on a trailer in the spare tire.
As a police officer, you experience a lot on the road: brazen drivers, for example, who use the rescue lane to get ahead themselves, or people who react more than strangely to a check.
Sometimes there are also encounters that make even the officials smile - such as a VW that had a casserole dish mounted as an oil pan.
However, a discovery by the police on the A3 was absolutely not funny: A puppy was transported there on a trailer in the spare tire.

A road user was the first to notice the little dog: the animal was in a backpack, which in turn was strapped to the spare wheel of a trailer.
The woman noticed on the freeway that the dog was sticking its head out there – and alerted the police.

The dog owner's "justification" for the agonizing transport was particularly sad: the four-month-old puppy would constantly vomit in the car, the man explained.
According to the police, the little dog had been transported in this way for two hours – and the journey was to continue to Belgium.
As two service dog handlers who were called in found out, the Labrador mix was in very bad health.
The officials immediately confiscated the four-legged friend.
The puppy was taken to an animal hospital and had to be hospitalized for several days.

The veterinary office was turned on - the owner is now being investigated for several violations of the Animal Welfare Act.
In the comments on the corresponding Facebook post by the police, many users express their horror at the cruelty to animals:
"What is going on in these people?"
"It's unbelievable how cruel people are."
"The worst animal is and remains man."
"It's heartbreaking as a dog owner."
"Unbelievable.
It's great that someone switched it on."
"These are monsters, not humans."
However, numerous users apparently shot their posts beyond the limits of legality, which forced the police to issue a warning: "We understand your anger and anger at this act.
But do us and you a favor and refrain from these inciting and insulting comments!
You are making yourself liable to prosecution and we will not tolerate such statements here and will report them to the police.”
