When a vacuum cleaner carries the impressive title of "the best seller in the United States four years in a row", it is impossible not to approach it with certain expectations.

To check if the statements about zero maintenance and preventing hair from tangling on the brush are in line with reality, we received it for review - and decided on the issue.

Even earlier, it is important to note that this is the newest and most advanced model that Shark has to offer, the Vertex Double Pro (IZ323), and it includes quite a few exclusive innovations that differentiate it from the other products in the flooded market of portable vacuum cleaners. What are the advantages, what were we disappointed in, and how much Big - or small - the gap between the manufacturer's data promises and actual use? Let's begin.
Design:
The body of the vacuum cleaner, which came to us in black combined with blue, is large compared to competitors in its category, but its unique ergonomic structure makes up for it and makes it very practical, both in use and in storage.
It boasts a smart digital display that provides all the necessary information - from the battery status, through the suction power selector to choosing the type of surface we wish to clean.
Batteries:
This is the most sensational innovation.
Already upon opening the box, we were surprised to discover, mind you, two removable lithium batteries, large and respectable.
How big?
2,350 milliamps each, which according to the manufacturer's data should together provide up to 120 continuous minutes of use (at low power, without using the motorized brush).
The advantage is that we almost never get stuck without the possibility of pumping the house, because at any given time there will be at least one battery in the docking station.
The flexible rod certainly doesn't hurt.

Usage and charging times:
upon receiving the product, we used it until the batteries were completely empty, this is so that we can estimate the charging time from 0% to 100%.
It took just over three hours of charging to have two full batteries ready for the Friday morning cleaning tasks.
And here is a wonderful figure: the actual usage time does not fall short of the manufacturer's data!
4,700 mAh (calculating both batteries) provided us with about a full hour of use per charging cycle.

the new vacuum cleaner has two engines.
It has a main motor and a separate motor for the unique fiber brush, which will collect the dust and hairs of us or the cute dog even from deep in the carpet.
The double brush technology (Dou Clean) and Shark's unique brush is suitable for all types of surfaces and boasts a "batter head brush", which will help capture dirt and small dust particles from the floor, just like moving a damp cloth.
The complete sealing technology "Anti-Allergan complete seal technology" has an antibacterial HEPA filter, which should filter up to 99.9% of dust and bacteria, and prevent their return to the home space.
But this, of course, we had no way to check.

Convenience, parts and storage:
This was one of the more fun unboxings we've done.
Why?
Because each part received the respect it deserved, with its own cover.
Little by little the token fell to us - this vacuum cleaner is ergonomic.
It also folds up for storage, but no less important - during the pumping itself.
The flexible rod (FLEX) enables particularly convenient pumping, and will save you the need to bend down to reach difficult areas in the house, such as under the bed in the bedroom or the luxurious couch in the living room.
If you don't have a lot of space at home, the option of folding the vacuum cleaner in half will allow you to store it very easily.
What's more, we were a little disappointed by the relatively heavy weight of the device.
The vacuum cleaner comes with a variety of accessories, including a narrow accessory for corners and crevices, a multi-purpose accessory for upholstery and animal hair, a motorized turbo accessory, an anti-allergenic dust brush and a dual charging station.
Inside the package you will also receive a bag intended for all the accessories.
While emptying the full garbage container, I was surprised to find that the hairs are arranged inside like soldiers in formation, on a special coil that just does the job to the best of its ability.

Additional features:
the new shark includes an automatic shutdown mechanism to keep the motor in overload condition, it has a pair of LED lights to illuminate the pumping area, an extra large collection chamber (empty with a simple push of a button), a removable top panel for cleaning the brush and easy maintenance, and a silicone protector to protect against Damage to furniture.

What we liked:
the two removable batteries that provide an extremely long usage time, the hair tangling prevention technology in the brush which is without a doubt a game-changer, the ergonomic structure that made this whole package extremely comfortable - in general use and storage.
Needs improvement:
the noise while using the motorized brush (which is mainly used on carpets) and the relative weight during prolonged use.
But between us, who even pumps for more than 5 minutes straight?
