MG Motor launches the compact hatchback, the 100% electric MG4 Electric. (HANDLE)


- MG Motor launches the compact hatchback, MG4 Electric 100% electric.

Compact dimensions and futuristic design, together with what is assured as "excellent road behavior combined with high electrical efficiency and innovative driver assistance systems" aim to make this car an extremely usable car.


    With its 4,287mm long, 1,836mm wide and just 1,504mm high, the hatchback has a 2,705mm wheelbase which ensures generous interior space.

The luggage compartment holds between 350 and 1,165 liters of cargo.


    Peculiar design, which draws the front with headlights and vertical direction indicators, emphasized by 28 LEDs that form six vertical fiber optic strips.

The fog lights and low beams are combined in a trio with the LED turn signals.

The convergence of these lines continues in the rear, characterized by the design of the LED light clusters located at the end of the body, where a rear light strip extends over the entire width.

The two-tone roof and its rear development into a double-wing spoiler contribute to an optical extension of the car's line, for truly interesting aerodynamic characteristics.

Cx between 0.27 and 0.287 depending on the equipment depending on the configuration of the front air intakes .:

when the need for air cooling is less, the vent is closed, thus improving aerodynamic performance by up to 30% and autonomy by up to 10%.

The 17 "alloy wheels are also aerodynamically optimized. MG4 Electric will be available in seven colors.


    The cells of the "ONE PACK" battery are arranged horizontally and the battery is the most compact in the industry: 110 mm high.

MG4 Electric Standard is equipped with a 51 kWh battery and a 125 kW rear electric motor.

This configuration allows the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in 7.7 seconds, a top speed of 160 km / h and a range of up to 350 km in the WLTP cycle.

Charging from a public AC column is possible at 6.6 kW, while fast DC charging is possible at up to 117 kW.

In the second case, the battery can be recharged from 10% to 80% in 40 minutes.


    MG4 Electric adopts the package of driving assistance and safety systems called MG Pilot.

In addition to Front Collision Warning and Automatic Emergency Braking, all versions come standard with Adaptive Cruise Control, Traffic Jam Assistance, Lane Departure Warning and Lane Keeping Assistance, MG Pilot allows a certain degree of autonomous driving.

To these are added the Intelligent Headlamp Control and the Speed ​​Assist System with recognition of road signs.

On the MG4 Electric Luxury, MG Pilot also offers Blind Spot Detection and Lane Change Assist.

It also warns of passing traffic behind the vehicle thanks to Rear Cross Traffic Alert and oncoming traffic when the doors are opened.

A 360-degree camera projects the surrounding environment onto the internal display.


    Minimalist interior styling, the cockpit maximizes available space with lightweight instrument panels and control elements.

The digital instrument cluster measures 7 inches for main information and a 10.25-inch floating screen for infotainment.

The latter can be used to control the MG iSMART connectivity system, which connects smartphones with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.


    Prices starting from 29,900 euros, in addition to a launch offer: in addition to the 3,000 euros provided for by the Ecobonus 2022, to which are added 2,000 euros in case of scrapping, MG Motor Italy has provided an additional benefit of a further 1,000 euros.

In the event that the customer who has a car to be scrapped decides to use an MG financial product, the advantage doubles, for an advantage of 7,000 euros which will bring the starting price of the MG4 Electric Standard starting from 22,990 euros.
