This time it ended with only an injury: according to documentation distributed online, a Xiaomi Redmi Note 11T Pro smartphone caught fire in a user's pocket - leading to a severe burn on his leg.
The report comes a few days after an alleged report of an Indian woman who was killed in her sleep as a result of the explosion of another Xiaomi Redmi 6A smartphone.
In a video posted on Douyin, the Chinese version of Tiktok, it can be seen that the smartphone was heavily damaged and melted from the heat as a result of the alleged explosion.
Beyond the short segment and the photos that were distributed after the incident throughout the network, the user did not provide any additional details about the event.
On the other hand, judging by the severity and appearance of the damage caused to the phone, it seems that the source of the explosion may be related to the device's battery.

How do you prevent this type of incident?
First, according to the instructions of the smartphone manufacturers and also the recommendations of experts in the field - do not use the device in charging mode.
Also, problems with the battery are mainly due to incorrect charging, use of a charger, battery or cable that are not original or exposing the smartphone to the sun with high frequency.
In addition, repairing the smartphone in an unauthorized laboratory may lead to damage to essential components.

As mentioned earlier this week, the successful Indian YouTuber MD Talk YT, who has an account with more than 300,000 subscribers, claimed that his aunt was killed in her sleep as a result of an exploding Xiaomi Redmi 6A smartphone - and attached photos of the charred phone.
"Last night my aunt was found dead. She was using a Redmi 6A," the YouTuber wrote in a tweet, along with tagging Xiaomi executives.
According to the company, the issue is under investigation.
