Maserati FTributo Special Edition celebrates great De Filippis
Ghibli and Levante FTributo Special Edition pay homage to the tenacious spirit of the driver from Marigliano in the province of Naples (she was born there in 1926) who got noticed driving a Maserati A6GCS (which she shared with Luigi Bellucci) in October 1955, conquering the ninth place overall - fourth in the 2-liter class - at the 39th edition of the Targa Florio.
That was the occasion of a turning point in the world of motor racing that led De Filippis, challenge after challenge, to break down conventions and become the first woman to compete in Formula 1 in 1958, right on board a Maserati.
The skills and character of the De Filippis and the timeless reference to the racing world of the Trident have inspired the new FTributo Special Edition declined in a limited edition on Ghibli and Levante and proposed in the two exclusive colors Orange Devil and Gray Lamiera.
With the FTributo Special Edition, sportiness is elevated to a new level thanks to captivating details and sporty aesthetics.
The call to adrenaline in competitions is already evident from the outside.
Arancio Devil is a particular saturated orange, a combination of vibrant energy and audacity, a reference to the nickname of Maria Teresa, 'the she-devil'.
The gray, on the other hand, is inspired by the track, the real 'home' of Maserati, where the Trident has collected victories and where it expresses its maximum performance.
To complete the exterior, in the Devil Orange color, Levante FTributo features 21-inch Anteo wheels and while Ghibli FTributo mounts 21-inch Titano wheels in the new Matt Gray color.
The rim details are cobalt blue as well as the specific badge on the fender and the trident logo on the C-pillar.
With the Lamiera Gray body color, the color of the rims becomes Glossy Black, while the details, the specific badge and the trident logo are contrasted in orange.
In the passenger compartment, the tones of the exterior finishes are echoed in the stitching: cobalt blue and orange combined with black or orange FullFiore leather with leather-colored FullFiore leather.
