Nio ET7, Renault Megane E-Tech and Tesla Model 3 were the most environmentally efficient models in the latest Green Ncap test session.
The trio received the highest 5-star rating from the institute that promotes the development of clean, energy-efficient and environmentally friendly cars.
Among them, with a score of 9.8 out of 10, stands the rear-wheel drive Tesla Model 3 with 208 kW / 283 hp.
In the highway test it achieves the highest score of all vehicles tested so far by Green NCAP: 21.1 kWh / 100 km.
Greater energy efficiency in cold climatic conditions combined with a further reduction in charge losses would help the vehicle to further improve its sustainability result.
Second place ex aequo for Renault Megane and Nio ET7, both rated with 5 stars and a rating index of 9.6 out of 10. The Renault Megane E-Tech EV60 has a declared battery capacity of 60kWh, power of 160 kW / 218 Hp, single electric motor and front-wheel drive.
The values in the standard tests are very good but increase in the motorway test.
The results of the short urban trip are noteworthy: the Megane used only 11.8 kWh / 100 km.
Identical rating for Nio ET7, equipped with two electric motors, one per axle, and four-wheel drive with a power of 480 kW / 652 Hp.
The huge 100 kWh battery pack (also offered the 75 kWh variant) guarantees a maximum range of 580 km.
Despite the high mass, the Chinese car demonstrates a high overall efficiency.
The excellent rating was obtained for the absence of polluting exhaust gas emissions, high energy efficiency and relatively low greenhouse gas emissions.
