Headlights shouldn't be polished.
Thanks to a life hack with lemon and baking soda, however, they should be clean again quickly.
At least one TikTok user claims so.
Everyone has a different way of keeping things tidy in their cars.
While some cars are so littered that the police have to intervene, other drivers attach great importance to clean cars.
However, there are a few things to keep in mind, because not everything is always allowed.
For example, you shouldn't polish the headlights, otherwise there could be problems with the TÜV.
If you still want to lend a hand, a TikTok user has a lifehack ready for you.
All drivers need is half a lemon and some baking soda.
“I saw a hack and had to try it.
It worked!
Cleaned both lights in 5 minutes!” wrote TikTok user Christina Nomura under the video.

But how does the life hack work?
Christina Nomura demonstrates this in the nearly 30-second TikTok video.
Put some baking soda on the halved lemon.
Then you scrub in circular movements over the headlight, which should then look almost like new again.

As so often, one or the other user is not sure what to think of this life hack.
"I was skeptical at first too.
It worked for me,” replies Christina Nomura.
And other users are also speaking up.
"It worked," writes one user and another describes the trick as "very helpful".
Another user wants to "try it soon".

But not every user is really happy with the result of the life hack: "If it doesn't work for a few minutes at most, then it gets foggy again, if not worse." A result that TikTok user Christina Nomura cannot confirm.
However, she also lives in sunny California.

A life hack to remove scratches from the paintwork met with even less enthusiasm.
The trick was effective, but it shouldn't last long.
Meanwhile, the removal of dents with a plunger and hot water has significantly better chances of success.
