- How do women react to the late discovery of a pregnancy?

I sometimes meet women who discover their pregnancy around 12 weeks of amenorrhea, against 5 usually.
Those who have contraception are a little taken aback, it seems impossible to them to be pregnant on the pill for example.
However, even if it is very small, there is always a risk whatever the means of contraception, and, in the case of the pill, forgetfulness or irregular intake are not uncommon.
Some are shocked when they find out they're pregnant, for others it's really good news.
Each situation is unique and generalizations should not be made.
Do these women have anything in common?
This can concern all types of women, regardless of their age or socio-economic level.
Those who have irregular periods are obviously more at risk of “missing out”, because for them an absence of periods…
