Instead of logging into your account using the browser version, WhatsApp remembered that there are tablets in the world - and is developing a dedicated application for the devices. And what else are we expected to get soon?

After years of this not happening (and it is not clear why), WhatsApp is developing an application for tablets - according to a report on the WABetaInfo blog, which specializes in digging into the beta versions of the messaging application and exposing future features.

According to the announcement, beta users were notified that they

could download a dedicated version of the app from the Google Play Store

.

Currently, like on a computer, tablet owners can only connect to WhatsApp using the browser version.

The connection process is simple, and similar to the web (browser) version, you can connect to the account by scanning a QR code with the main smartphone.

At the same time, from the moment of connection, the mobile version can be used on a tablet even if the main phone is not connected to the Internet.

If you were wondering what is happening with a version for iPads (iPadOS), as of this writing there is no information about a version that is in development.

The second innovation that is expected to arrive is in the video calls on iPhone devices, in which users will be able to reduce the call to shrink the call to a small size, and drum to continue using other applications.

This is an option that has existed for Android users for several years - and is only now making its way to iPhone owners as well.

It was also recently reported on WABetaInfo that WhatsApp has returned to developing the option to search for chat messages by date.

Moving to a specific date will shorten the tedious search process in the conversation.

The feature was previously developed for the iOS operating system, but later development was discontinued.

At the beginning of last month, WhatsApp launched Communities, a new solution that allows separate groups to be connected under one umbrella and in a structure that is suitable for them.

The innovation allows communities including neighborhoods, parents in schools and workplaces to take part in several groups that will be gathered under one umbrella in order to organize the WhatsApp chat groups.

In addition, WhatsApp introduced the possibility of sending surveys in groups.
