The Banai family announced this evening (Tuesday) the death of retired judge Yitzhak Banai.
Judge Yitzhak Banai, retired vice president of the Beer Sheva District Court, passed away.
Banai is the brother of the late Yossi Banai and Gabri Banai and the father of the late Meir Banai, Orna Banai, Avitar Banai and Efrat Banai.
His funeral will take place tomorrow (Wednesday) at the Root Cemetery.
He was 92 years old when he died.

Tarbut: "My father died at the age of 93. Only in the last three days he stopped communicating because he was sick. We were around his bed at home and we said goodbye to him, my mother, Avitar, Efrat and I around him, until he took his last breaths. He was a huge man. Tons of wit, humor and charisma. Nobility of soul. And we still can barely digest that he was so present, and our hearts are broken to pieces."

Yitzhak Banai was born in Jerusalem in 1930. In 1969 he was elected as a judge in the Magistrate's Court.
In 1974 he was appointed to be a registrar in the district court.
And in 1978 he was appointed to a permanent position as a judge in the district court in Beer Sheva.
He retired in January 1999.
His family said that the funeral will take place tomorrow at the Shoresh cemetery.
The time of the funeral will be announced later.
