Genesis GV70 electric (manufacturer)
Half a year later than initially expected, Genesis is adding another model to its range of models in Israel, the GV70 Electrified is actually a version equipped for electric drive of the GV70 and is the third fully electric model for the luxury manufacturer from Hyundai.
It was preceded by the dedicated electric GV60 and the G80 in its electric version.
The electrified GV70 is identical in dimensions to the gasoline version, but the 503 has a 22-liter front trunk.
The identity is also preserved in its exterior, with the exception of the sealed grill in this version, when the charging socket is behind it.
The passenger cabin also remains the same with the exception of the BOOST button at the bottom of the steering wheel (we will return to it later), the replacement of the gearshift levers with those that control charging, as well as a change in the type of materials in the cabin to those that are more environmentally friendly.

On the drive, two electric motors - front and rear that produce 489 hp jointly for dual drive (rear basically, and the combination of the front when necessary). That catapult its 2.8 tons to 100 km/h in 4.2 seconds.
By the way, these two data are included in the BOOST mode of the machine, which enables the maximum performance for 10 seconds.
The energy is provided by a battery with a capacity of 77.4 kWh providing a declared range of 455 km.
The charging system of the electric GV70 supports charging of 400V in DC positions when a voltage booster is able to double it to 800V up to the ability to receive a charge of 350 kilowatts (which are not publicly available in Israel) This means that the charging time from 10 to 80% percent in 18 subtlety.

The electric GV70 will be marketed in a single trim level, this includes a 14.5-inch touchscreen with the option to mirror Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 12.3-inch dashboard, split climate control, electric steering wheel and front seats, leather upholstery, acoustic windows, sunroof Panoramic and more.

The GV70 is part of a whole move by Genesis that has set a goal to introduce 8 electric or hydrogen-powered models by 2025 and in the long term, its intention is that by 2030 it will introduce 0 pollution in its cars.
In the local market, it will compete in Israel with hybrid and electric models of competitors such as the BMW iX3, Mercedes EQC and Audi e-tron.
Its advantage over them beyond performance and the standard equipment is the same as in other Genesis models - in the price line - this one will be NIS 469,000, at a price that already reflects the tax increase in January.
His three other rivals are more expensive than him by a margin and this is even before the expected increase in price.
As with its other products, Genesis will run the full maintenance package for its customers, which includes full customer service with the periodic treatments for the 3-year warranty at no cost.
