According to the municipality, quoted by BFMTV, the tribute will take place at Place de la Nation in front of the town hall of Vaulx-en-Velinn and a book of condolences will be made available at the town hall.

The fire killed ten people, including five children, and injured 24, four of them seriously.

The Lyon public prosecutor's office has opened an investigation to determine the causes of the fire, specifying that it will not rule out any hypothesis, "in particular the criminal track".

In the evening, the investigators were still working to "identify with certainty the ten deceased persons", according to the same source.
