Elon Musk's SpaceX, which operates launch services into space and manufactures cargo spacecraft and manned spacecraft, launched tonight (between Thursday and Friday) its last launch for 2022: the Israeli photography satellite Eros C-3 of the Imagist International company.
The satellite was launched from California, USA.

The Eros C series of satellites "enables defense and intelligence organizations to conduct operations under complete confidentiality and data protection," according to manufacturer Image International.
"Eros C is an advanced observation satellite, with amazing photography capabilities and very high resolution. It was developed to support the requirements of the security and intelligence organizations, and to meet all the challenges they face."

The first ever EROS satellite, Eros A, was launched in 2000 and re-entered Earth's atmosphere in 2006. Little information is available about the Eros series, presumably due to security concerns.
