Since the stabbing murder of four students at the University of Idaho on the night of November 12 to 13, the small town of Moscow and the entire region have lived in anguish.
But Friday, December 30, at 3 a.m. and more than 4000 km from the scene of the crime, a dozen FBI agents and heavily armed local police arrested a suspect, Bryan Kohberger, 28, a doctoral student in criminology, ending one of the most publicized manhunts of recent years.
