It does so with the Inception Concept, a car that foreshadows the new era of the brand and shows many radical changes, including a revolutionary interior design (more disruptive than the exterior) with the new generation Peugeot i-Cockpit and the innovative system Hypersquare control system with Steer-by-Wire technology.

As Linda Jackson, CEO of the Peugeot brand reiterated, "Inception Concept will inspire future Peugeot products starting from 2025, with the aim of bringing most of its innovations into production".

"Peugeot is committed to the electrification of its range - underlined Linda Jackson -, and in 2023 our entire range will be electrified and five new 100% electric models will be launched in the next two years. Our ambition is simple: to make Peugeot the leading electric brand in Europe by 2030. This objective and ambitious vision paves the way for a radical transformation of the brand, represented by the Concept Inception" Based on the Stla Large platform, the Inception Concept is a large four-door sedan (with folding) from 5 meters fully electric.

It is powered by a 100 kWh battery which - according to the company - provides a range of 800 km.

With its two electric motors,

It also features 800 Volt technology, which allows it to add 150km of range in just five minutes, and is capable of wireless inductive charging.

The Stellantis Stla SmartCockpit and Stla AutoDrive technology platforms are also present, which allow level 4 autonomous driving.

"Peugeot is changing - commented Matthias Hossann, design director of the French brand of Stellantis - but the Inception Concept remains unmistakably a Peugeot. It expresses the brand's timeless feline attraction and shows how optimistic we are about the future of the car and the thrill it delivers."

"Bright and full of light - said Hossann - reinvents the spatial experience of driving while illustrating some of our ideas behind the reduction of the carbon footprint by more than 50% by 2030. The transformation of the brand affects all aspects of the design, production and life of the Peugeot of tomorrow. Design is an integral part of this transformation."

The new design language - simpler and more refined - will be introduced on future models from 2025. At the front, it features an all-new light signature incorporating Peugeot's signature claw design, which merges with the front grille to create a the only object that also houses the sensors.

Bold lines and shapes incorporating 7.25 square meters of glazed elements to create a transparent cabin capsule that extends to the feet of the driver and front passenger.

Windshield and windows made with glass designed for architecture.

Inside, the Hypersquare control system stands out, eliminating the conventional steering wheel in favor of digital electric controls and steer-by-wire technology.

Hypersquare is a tablet-like screen dedicated to control information while pictograms of secondary functions are displayed on two side panels.

The new generation i-Cockpit also dialogues with autonomous driving.

When engaged, Hypersquare retracts and a large panoramic screen slides out of the trim to offer a new cabin experience.

Peugeot Inception Concept features minimal furnishings dedicated to the driver alone, which does away with the dashboard, crossbar and bulkhead, offering a completely open view of the road.
