The prosecution in New Mexico is expected to file an indictment against actor Alec Baldwin for causing the death of cinematographer Helena Hutchins on the set of the film "Rust" where they were both present - this is what media in the United States are reporting today (Thursday).
The decision comes more than a year after the incident, in which the filmmaker was shot dead by a bullet fired by Baldwin, which also injured the film's director, Joel Souza.
The indictment charges him with manslaughter.
When asked in an interview how live ammunition ended up on the set of the film in which he starred and which he also produced, Baldwin replied that he did not know.
"I have no idea. Someone put a real bullet in the gun, that bullet wasn't supposed to be there at all," he said.
