Police intervene after a shooting that killed several people in southern California in the United States, near a place where the Lunar New Year had just been celebrated, the Los Angeles Times reported on Sunday, citing the police.
According to the Los Angeles Times, the shooting occurred shortly after 10 p.m. local Saturday (3 p.m. in Paris).
Tens of thousands of people had gathered earlier in the day for the two-day Chinese New Year festivities, which are among the largest in Southern California.
The authorities confide to the American daily that there are several victims, without specifying the number.
According to the daily, which cites witnesses on the spot, the shooter, armed with an automatic weapon, had plenty of ammunition and could reload once short.
Several American journalists evoke at least ten deaths.
