But he wasn't sober anymore either.

As a police officer you experience a lot - unfortunately very often in combination with alcohol.

Officials recently caught a drunk VW driver without a license – twice in one night.

In Hamburg, a drunk Audi driver drove right through the train station because he wanted to go to the supermarket.

And on the freeway, police officers stopped a Ford that was crawling across the road at 20 km/h – here, too, the driver was no longer sober.

Now there was a curious incident in North Rhine-Westphalia - here, too, those involved had "refueled" properly.

BMW driver mows drunk traffic light - alarmed "tower" is also no longer sober

As the police in Ochtrup reported, a scene on the side of the road seemed "pretty funny" to a witness.

A man was about to pull a blue BMW station wagon into the back of a truck with a woman in the car.

In addition to the dubious hustle and bustle, the passer-by discovered a traffic light that had been run over.

Because the two did not respond to his offer of help, he alerted the police.

Police investigate at the scene of the accident - both parties "pretty drunk"

When the officers arrived, it quickly became apparent that both the 30-year-old woman in the BMW and the 27-year-old driver of the "truck" were apparently "quite drunk".

As it turned out after a short conversation, the 30-year-old had driven off intoxicated with the BMW after a party and had tried to turn around the traffic light.

She then alerted the 27-year-old by phone, who got into a 7.5-ton truck to rush to her aid - but obviously not sober anymore.

Because the 27-year-old refused an alcohol test, the police took him to the police station to have his blood drawn.

In the 30-year-old, a quick test showed a value of 1.4 per mille – blood was also taken from her.

Your driver's license and the BMW were secured - both received a report.

Incidentally, interfaces for an Alkolock system have been mandatory in new cars since last year.

Perhaps the alcolock itself will one day become mandatory - because the majority of Germans are in favor of a zero alcohol limit.
