One of the victims of the corona epidemic was the discounts on new cars.
The zero km routes killed themselves due to the lack of inventory, and for the same reason the discount promotions for the consumer clubs were greatly reduced, and many were even canceled.
But in recent weeks, with the arrival of new shipments for 2023 and optimism among the importers regarding the supply quantities later this year, the discount promotions for the clubs are returning.
From the point of view of the importers This is a channel that allows a discount for selected groups of customers, without it being reflected in the price list, in contrast to the price list update carried out by Tesla and the lowering of the prices of used Teslas, which hurt existing customers. From the point of view of the clubs, this is the possibility of giving colleagues discounts of thousands of shekels on new and used cars.
Four major consumer clubs participate in these promotions.
On the one hand, a membership club of IDF servants and retirees, the largest in the market. On the other hand, a combination of forces between the Hot Club, where members are engineers, engineers, technicians and employees of large hi-tech companies, the police officers' funds for servants and retirees of the police and the prison service, and the reserve club of the members of the Teachers' Union,
According to estimates, there are approximately 750,000 people in these four clubs, and the regulations also allow immediate family members to benefit from the promotions, so that close to 2 million Israelis can benefit from the discounts

Hot Clubs, Ashmoret and the police funds, for example, are currently running a sale with Suzuki: Ignis, Swift and Vitara at a NIS 3,500 discount, the S-CROSS (crossover) at a NIS 3,500-4,000 discount and Jimny at a NIS 4,000 discount.
On the other hand, join this month's sale with Hyundai: i10 Prime is offered at a discount of 4,000 NIS, or a package of three treatments and repair of headrests for 3,800 NIS + 2,500 NIS discount.
The small and new Jeep is offered at a NIS 5,000 discount, i20 at a NIS 3,000 discount, Elantra hybrid at a NIS 2,500 discount, Sonata Limited Hybrid at a NIS 5,800 discount, electric Kona at a NIS 2,000 discount and Tucson Turbo at a NIS 5,000 discount.
A combination of a package of treatments and a reduced discount is offered in all models.
"We hold 8-9 car deals a year, and we struggled to maintain them even in Corona with reduced discounts," explains Dani Ben Haim, director of the car consumer department at Hot Club.
"In December we had a sale with Kia and we sold almost 590 cars and after Suzuki we will have a sale with Chery. In April we will have a sale with Lip Motor, and in June with Nissan. Except for Toyota, all importers cooperate with this channel."
According to the estimates of 268 thousand new cars sold in 2022, about 4,000-5,000 were sold through consumer club sales.
This year, against the backdrop of price increases and increased discounts, this number is expected to increase.
