A way to pay homage to him, but, above all, not to forget him.
A white march will take place this Sunday, in Épinal (Vosges) in memory of Lucas, this 13-year-old schoolboy victim of harassment who committed suicide in early January.
"It's our way of keeping him alive (…) I don't want anyone to forget him," explained the young boy's mother during a press conference earlier this week.
The white march will leave at 2 p.m. from Place Foch, reveals France Bleu.
Four teenagers tried
Lucas hanged himself at his home on January 7.
According to his parents, the teenager was the victim of repeated bullying from some classmates, because of his homosexuality.
On January 12, an investigation was opened by the Epinal prosecution to try to establish a link between the accusations of harassment and the suicide of the child.
Lucas suicide: "I have to blame them, they were mean to him"
Four college students from the same class as the young Lucas admitted, during their hearings, "to have repeatedly made fun of their comrade", detailed the prosecutor at the end of January, specifying that "the facts are from September 2022 to the beginning of January 2023”.
He had, in the process, let it be known that the four 13-year-olds would be tried for school harassment.
