The Fia World Endurance Championship will start on the occasion of the 1000 Miles of Sebring, scheduled for 17 March, where the Ferrari 499P, the Hypercar from Maranello, will make its race debut.

Driven by a power train consisting of a 680 HP biturbo V6 associated with a 272 HP ERS, and a 7-speed sequential gearbox, and equipped with a battery with a nominal voltage of 800 Volts, the 499P brings the Prancing Horse back to the premier class of the world endurance championship after 50 years.

In view of the Sebring race, after the second test session on the same track, James Calado, one of the official drivers, declared: "We have taken some steps forward, having further confirmation on the goodness of the project. There are still aspects to improve and others to continue working on, but the path followed is the right one and the sensations remain positive".

Words that indicate a joint commitment on the part of those who brought the car to light, and the men who will have the task of driving it in the race.

These answer to the names of Antonio Fuoco, Miguel Molina, and Nicklas Nielsen for the 499P number 50, and Alessandro Pier Guidi, James Calado, and Antonio Giovinazzi, for the Hypercar number 51.
