Eurovision 2023: Noa Kirel is officially announced as Israel's representative (Walla system!)
On March 8, "Unicorn", Israel's song for Eurovision, will be revealed, and in the meantime, Noa Kirel on Tik Tok provides a first glimpse of a few seconds, in which she promises that it will be "phenom-phenom-phenomenal".
Listen to the clip below and watch the promo here.
The song will represent Israel at Eurovision 2023, whose final will be held on May 13 in Liverpool, England, but Kirel will have to pass the semi-final hurdle a few days earlier.
She created the song together with Yanon Yahal, who produced the songs "Golden Boy" by Nadav Gedge and "Peker Libi" by Ashan Elena;
the musician May Sepadia;
And also Doron Medley, who wrote, among other things, the song "Toy" with which Neta Barzilai won a few years ago.
"We wrote a song, which personally moves me every time I sing or hear it," Kirel said.

In October, the European Broadcasting Union announced that only 37 countries will participate in Eurovision 2023, the lowest number since 2014. This increases Kirel's chances of advancing to the final.
Kirel will appear in the first semi-final on Tuesday, May 9, along with 14 other countries: Ireland, Latvia, Malta, Norway, Serbia, Portugal and Croatia, Azerbaijan, Netherlands, Moldova, Finland, Czech Republic, Sweden and Switzerland.
A professional committee of the broadcasting corporation chose Kirel in July to represent Israel in the competition from a closed list of the 78 artists played in Israel or those who stood out in the charts of the last three years.
