Song number 9 - this is Noa Kirel's new lucky number.

Starting today Kirel has to fall in love with number 9, embrace him, worship him, and above all convince Europe, Australia and for the first time in history also residents of countries that do not participate in Eurovision to vote for him, and only him.

Tonight (Wednesday) the order of performance of the songs in the semi-finals of Eurovision 2023 was finally published, and for Israel it is a much more favorable placement than what we got last year.

So Michael Ben David was assigned to song number 2, the dreaded position that every artist who comes to the biggest music stage in the universe fears.

This year we already knew that this could not happen, because in the draw for the semi-finals Israel was drawn to perform in the second part of the show, so it was clear from the beginning that Kirel would be placed among the last eight songs.

The first semi-final will be opened by Norway, which manages to advance to the final almost every year since the two-semi-final system was introduced.

The Festigli song that ranks high in the betting should introduce viewers to the happy atmosphere of Eurovision.

It seems that Norway's place in the top 5 is almost certain, why only almost?

Because before the Norwegian the performances were performed with auto-tune, and in the Eurovision itself she will have to rely on her vocal abilities alone.

Then Norway, Malta, Serbia, Latvia, Portugal, Ireland and Croatia will appear one after the other.

Before Kirel, Switzerland will appear who, like last year, sends an old fashioned ballad of a tormented young man with a deep voice that doesn't go well with his baby face.

After her, Moldova will come up and come with a folk song like you would expect from Moldova to send to Eurovision, and immediately after who the agencies predict will be the big winner of the evening - Lorin who returns to represent Sweden and wants to be the first woman and the second artist in history to win the contest twice.

Next in line will be Azerbaijan, the Czech Republic, and the Netherlands.

The semi-finals will be closed by Finland, which is ranked second in the betting agencies.

And what about the betting agencies?

In the last few days, the song "Unicorn" ranks fifth in the chances of winning.

Those who follow us know that we are less excited about fluctuations in places 5-10, but it is worth paying attention to the fact that this is not a casual shift, but a significant strengthening of the betting ratio.

If previously Kirel had a 2% to 3% chance of winning, now the chance has increased to 4% and the ratio of bets on it has decreased, meaning that there is a positive sentiment towards Israel on the part of gamblers.

What interests us more at this stage is the chances of qualifying for the finals, and here Israel is ranked fourth after the sequence of the northern countries - Finland, Sweden and Norway.

Immediately after the three cross flags comes a flag with a Star of David, with Israel 90% to qualify for the final.

The agencies are so sure of Israel's advancement to the final, that the profit on every one euro you invest will be only 5 cents.

In addition, the order of performances in the second semi-final was also determined: Denmark, Armenia, Romania, Estonia, Belgium, Cyprus, Iceland, Greece, Poland, Slovenia, Georgia, San Marino, Austria, Albania, Lithuania, and Australia.
