The electric crossover market in Israel is expanding with a new version of the Skywell ET5.
The model that now arrives after a cosmetic facelift focusing on the front that has become sealed will be called XR86 after its increased battery with a capacity of 86 kWh, this is in contrast to the model with which the Chinese manufacturer entered Israel the LR72 and its 72 kWh battery, which will continue to be sold.
The larger battery increases the declared range of the model from 400 km in the 72 kWh version to more than 500 km. Charging from a DC position will be possible with a power of up to 70 kW h and will take 40 minutes from 30 to 80 percent (30 minutes in the 72 kWh version).
Charging from a three-phase home position will take 9 hours for a full charge (6.5 hours in the 72 kWh version).
With the new battery, the ET5 will offer, at least according to the manufacturer's statement, one of the longest official range data in the group of electric crossovers.
Hyundai Ioniq 5 boasts 481 km, Skoda Aniac 517 km in the base version and 539 km in the coupe version, and Kia EV6 528 km. Tesla Model Y boasts 533 km.

The XR86 version will be offered in the higher trim level of the "Premium" model, which includes a 12.3-inch dashboard and a 12.8-inch multimedia screen, a panoramic sunroof, electric seats with memories, heating and ventilation, a footrest, laser lighting, a 220 socket for the rear seats, and more .
The safety systems include lane departure correction, automatic braking, warning of a vehicle in a "dead zone", adaptive cruise control, traffic sign recognition and more.
The new version does not change the drive unit itself, and it will continue to use a single electric motor made by BYD with a power of 204 hp. The acceleration to 100 km/h will be 9.6 seconds compared to 7.9 seconds in the 72 kWh version.

The price of the skywell in the XR86 version will be NIS 245,000, while limited initial stock for the launch period will be offered at a price of NIS 240,000.
The price is NIS 25,000 more expensive than the corresponding equipment level with the smaller battery.
The new price puts it against the more expensive versions of some of the European, Japanese and Korean competitors such as the Toyota bZ4X, Hyundai Ioniq 5, Skoda Aniac and others and at a price gap from the Chinese competitors such as the Eevis U5 and Maxus E Unique 6.
