Yonatan Gefen - a poet, writer, satirist and journalist who published dozens of books and whose songs have become an integral part of the Israeli soundtrack - will be laid to rest today (Friday) at Nehalel Cemetery.

This, only a week after his author Meir was laid to rest in the same place.

Gefen, born in Nahalel and a member of the Dayan family, passed away this week at the age of 76. The funeral will be broadcast live on Vala!.

The singer Dafna Armoni paid tribute to the vine in a conversation with Walla!

Culture: "Very sad. He was an artist in all senses, multidisciplinary, who painted the whole landscape of life. The poems he wrote expressed all the emotions, they had sights, smells and tastes, he used the senses in his writing. In each of his poems he knew how to bring out an emotion , and that's something I really miss in today's songs. He was very direct and true, and like a child he said everything with his face. It's impossible not to appreciate this honesty he had. A sweet and colorful man. I loved him very much. Our paths crossed at various points during life , since I was a child in England and through all kinds of connections over the years. I will miss him very much. May his memory be blessed."

Geffen was a regular columnist in Maariv newspaper for about 40 years, and published many books for adults and children.

Among his well-known books are "Dear Woman" which he wrote about his relationship with his mother, "Good Material" about his connections with the "Lol" group, and especially "The Sixteenth Lamb", which is considered one of the most beloved children's books in Israel, which was also produced for a very successful record featuring Yoni Rechter, Yehudit Ravitz, David Broza and Gidi Gov.
