One refusal of priority, and two seriously injured. According to our information, confirmed by the Paris prosecutor's office, Hugo Zemmour, the eldest son of Eric Zemmour, was arrested and placed in custody, suspected of having caused, while he had consumed alcohol, a traffic accident that seriously injured two people, this Saturday morning, in the sixth arrondissement of Paris.
The events took place shortly after 7 a.m., at the corner of rue Cassette and rue de Vaugirard. According to the first elements, the son of the leader of the Reconquest party! would have, at the wheel of his car, refused priority to a scooter. The driver of the two-wheeler and his passenger, seriously injured in the legs, were immediately taken care of by the emergency services. They were respectively transported to the Kremlin-Bicêtre University Hospital (Val-de-Marne) and Beaujon Hospital (Hauts-de-Seine).
A "spectacular accident"
Éric Zemmour's son was not injured. He was transported to the Georges Pompidou European Hospital in Paris (XVth arrondissement) to undergo samples. Before being taken to the thirteenth arrondissement, to the premises of the Service for the judicial treatment of accidents (STJA), seized of the investigations. There, he was placed in custody for "unintentional injuries resulting in an ITT of more than three months, aggravated by the blood alcohol level and the manifest violation of a particular duty of prudence or safety," says the prosecutor's office.
Contacted, the mayor LR of the sixth arrondissement, Jean-Pierre Lecoq, did not wish to make a statement. After the accident, the mayor thanked on Twitter the municipal police and the city's cleanliness services, for having "intervened after this spectacular accident", posting a striking photo of the disaster.

The eldest son of the former candidate for the 2022 presidential election, Hugo Zemmour studied law, before obtaining a master's degree in History of Africa, the Maghreb and the Middle East, at the Panthéon Assas University in Paris. Attracted like his father by politics, the young man became a parliamentary assistant in 2016. He was then chargé de mission in the Senate, between September and December 2020, for the Centrist Union (UC) group.
