These are no longer isolated cases, they are a phenomenon: in the past month, three separate cases have been reported in India in which smartphones suddenly showered - causing injury and even death of users. Yesterday (Saturday), another incident was reported in the country, but this time it is a completely new model - the OnePlus Nord 2T, which exploded just 6 days from the date of purchase. It is important to mention that this is a device sold in Israel and we reviewed here in Walla! Technology.

According to online reports, the device was not connected to a charger - but in the user's pocket. At the time of the explosion, the owner of the OnePlus Nord 2T was riding the bike and suffered severe burns to his leg as a result and was admitted to a local hospital. According to the Twitter page ᴛʀᴏʟɟɪɴɢ ɪꜱ ᴀɴ ᴀʀᴛ, the latter contacted OnePlus support, and after investigation they determined that the owner of the device was responsible for the explosion and not them.

About a week ago, a similar case was reported in the United States, where a OnePlus 8 Pro device exploded. Even then, the Chinese manufacturer did not take responsibility, claiming that the user "put unnecessary pressure on the motherboard." Meanwhile, three separate incidents took place in India, two of which injured only minor injuries, while the most tragic event claimed the life of an 8-year-old girl.
