Noga Erez teaches Robbie Williams slang words in Hebrew during a rehearsal before hosting Erez at Williams' performance at Tel Aviv's Yarkon Park, May 31, 2023 (Nir Yahav)
Robbie Williams performs tonight (Thursday) at Tel Aviv's Hayarkon Park in front of tens of thousands of fans - and receives a standing ovation.
During the show, Williams reiterated how happy he was to be back in Israel, said "come on mess" after a few songs, and continued to demonstrate his language skills by saying a few more words in Hebrew. "I missed you!" he added, speaking of the Israeli audience that received him warmly. At one point, he said that the most important thing for an entertainer was to love the audience — and received a standing ovation.
Williams performs a string of hits on the show, including hosting Israeli singer Noga Erez on the song "Kids," which Williams originally performed with Kylie Minogue.
Williams' concert was part of the Summer in the City festival, and his show tonight was preceded by performances by Callum Scott, Statik and Martin Garrix, among others.
