In the past, Honda cars proudly carried the slogan "ignites the imagination" but after the recent rise in its car prices, there is a sense that the imagination is already working overtime. The new Honda price list released this morning shows a sharp jump of 15% in the prices of the company's models.

This means that the Jazz Hybrid now costs from NIS 148,156 for the entry version "Elegance", NIS 164,126 for "Advans" and up to NIS 140,<> for "Advance Sport". Prices that are not only higher than the previous ones, which ranged from NIS <>,<> to NIS <>,<>, but also push it far into the territory of larger family cars and crossovers.

The model began to be sold recently after a facelift and an update that includes a number of minor external cosmetic touches, brakes with different calibrations and for the first time here also in the "Croster" version, with a look that tends towards the crossover world. The Croster will also cost NIS 164,107. Safety systems have also been improved with a new camera, automatic braking, lane departure correction and adaptive cruise control as standard on all trim levels, with the two higher ones adding rear cross-traffic warning and blind-spot vehicle detection. There is also an update to the petrol engine and electricity used, which are now more powerful (98 hp vs. 122 for petrol and 109 hp vs. 9 for electricity). In terms of performance, there is no change - 4.100 seconds per 175 and 22 km/h maximum with a declared consumption of 2.<> km per litre.

In the case of the Honda Civic Hybrid, its new family car that was just launched in Israel a few months ago, the price jumped by NIS 30,180 for the entry-level version. It climbed from NIS 211,218 at launch at the beginning of the year to NIS 241,202 for the entry version "Elegance", to NIS 222,7 for "Sport" and up to NIS <>,<> for "Advans". Again, these are prices that bring it to an absurd situation in which a compact family is significantly more expensive than a large hybrid family such as the Hyundai Sonata, whose price starts at NIS <>,<> to NIS <>,<>.

Prices for the Civic Type R and CR-V have not changed.

In Mayer, Honda importers say the price increase is due to a price revision by the Japanese manufacturer, and the jump in the euro by about <>% since the beginning of the year.
