2023-06-04T17:40:33.341Z

Highlights: Due to the work at the Shalom interchange, the northern and main entrance to one of the main train stations in Israel will be closed tomorrow. The closure stems from the work on the northern side of the interchange carried out by the Ministry of Transport, the Tel Aviv-Yafo Municipality and the Ayalon Highway Company. From tomorrow it will be possible to enter the station only from its other two entrances: through the Azrieli Center, and through the southern entrance at the Peace Bridge. This is the second station in Israel in terms of passenger volume: about 15 million passengers a year.

Do you also sometimes use the Shalom train station in Tel Aviv? Please note that from tomorrow the main entrance to the station will be closed through its northern terminal.

The closure stems from the work on the northern side of the interchange carried out by the Ministry of Transport, the Tel Aviv-Yafo Municipality and the Ayalon Highway Company to add a bicycle path, mark a public transportation lane, install a shading
shed for bus stops and new street furniture for road users.

So from tomorrow it will be possible to enter the station only from its other two entrances: through the Azrieli Center, and through the southern entrance at the Peace Bridge.

This is the second station in Israel in terms of passenger volume: about 15 million passengers a year, and it serves the Kirya, Azrieli Center and the Yigal Alon employment and commercial area. Only the nearby Savidor station serves a larger number of passengers.

Due to expected passenger congestion at the station, it is recommended to significantly advance the arrival time at the station, and to examine the possibility of using the nearby Tel Aviv-Yafo Savidor Central station.

Two weeks ago, the Hashalom Train bus station was relocated to begin work along the northern sidewalk at the Peace Bridge, and the lines at the station were moved to three stations in temporary locations on Ammunition Hill Street, Derech HaShalom and Menachem Begin Road.

The closure of the northern exit is supposed to take about three months.
