Mercedes-Benz Trucks and Buses exhibits at Agroactiva 2023 its powerful portfolio of products and services for work in the field. In the large stand of the exhibition that takes place in the Santa Fe town of Armstrong, the brand says present with its trucks of national manufacture and shares its innovative concept of after-sales to provide accompaniment to the producer and the transporter.

The Atego and Accelo trucks, which are produced at the La Matanza plant, and the iconic and multi-awarded Actros, are among the brand's great attractions at the mega exhibition of the course.

National industry: 76.7% of the trucks sold by the brand are produced in its local plant.

The company, which has been operating independently for a year and a half as the local subsidiary of Daimler Truck AG, has a strong imprint on the national industry, which is crystallized in its vehicle portfolio and with the after-sales services it offers its customers solutions tailored to their needs.

The Mercedes-Benz Trucks and Buses stand at Agroactiva has an interactive profile. For example, visitors find a huge screen where they can -among other attractions- simulate the management of a fleet and, with the assistance of the brand's specialists, take information about the transport sector.

The Atego, produced in Argentina, one of the attractions of the stand.

"

AgroActiva represents for us an instance of exchange with the different actors of the agricultural sector, where we can share and publicize technological innovations and all the novelties of the market, "says Paula Díaz, Manager of Customer Services and Fleetboard of Mercedes-Benz Trucks and Buses.

The presence at the Santa Fe exhibition is one more way that Mercedes-Benz Trucks and Buses has to be close to the user, which it also does in the rest of the year thanks to its Commercial Network, one of the largest in Argentina: it has 45 customer service points throughout the country and about 2000 employees.

The proposals of Mercedes-Benz Trucks and Buses in Agroactiva

The brand arrived at the 29th edition of Agroactiva with the desire to show the different ways it has to accompany the development of agricultural production and its needs. The concept aims not only to offer its vehicles, of proven value in the market, but also to give the user a comprehensive service that encompasses the entire process in the life of a truck or bus.

The brand also had games and prizes for visitors.

They do it with their after-sales services developed in the Kilometer by Kilometer campaign, through which they accompany their customers both in the process of acquiring a truck or bus and throughout the process of the life of the vehicle: sale, spare parts, services, maintenance plans, financing and purchase of the model used as part of payment.

The brand had a simulator so that people can learn about its innovative after-sales system.

"We accompany carriers to manage their fleet," says Paula Díaz as a global after-sales concept. Another important contribution in this regard is REMAN, the service of original remanufactured parts that has already exceeded 3,000 pieces repaired and reinserted in the market with the Argentine work that the company carries out in the Juan Manuel Fangio Industrial Center, located in Virrey del Pino, La Matanza.

"Mercedes-Benz Trucks and Buses markets products with high technology and adds value to fleet management. That is why we provide services to owners, drivers and fleet managers so that they can reduce operating costs with services, continue using the brand's technology and contribute to sustainable mobility", reaffirms Paula Díaz.

The Kilometer by Kilometer campaign is the brand's new proposal in after-sales.

In what way? "Customers can buy our products but also purchase services from scratch: maintenance contracts to reduce operating costs, the entire Fleetboard connectivity package and the BUSConnect for buses; REMAN products that also contribute to the Circular Economy; The training courses... That is, a whole comprehensive package of services that accompanies the carrier in his day to day, "summarizes the executive.

The presence of Mercedes-Benz Trucks and Buses in Agroactiva occurs in a context of growth. Thus, with a strong commitment to the national industry, the company faces an investment process of 20 million dollars in the country, aimed at the acquisition of a property strategically located in Zárate for the construction of a new logistics center for auto parts and spare parts and, in the future, with the capacity to develop a new Industrial Center of its own.

Mercedes-Benz Actros, the heavyweight of the brand, is also present.

The company's domestic production is now concentrated on the state-of-the-art production line of the Juan Manuel Fangio Industrial Center, where the Accelo and Atego trucks and the OH and OF buses are manufactured. At the end of May 2023, 76.7% of the trucks marketed by the brand are locally manufactured. While in buses, the figure reaches 66%.

In turn, within its new format as a subsidiary of Daimler Truck AG in the country, the company successfully conducted a pilot test of shipments of bus chassis to Mexico as part of a scheme that aims to give it an export profile.

Mercedes-Benz Trucks and Buses also reaffirmed its commitment to the environment.

At Agroactiva, Mercedes-Benz Trucks and Buses also reaffirms its commitment to caring for the environment through the awareness campaign "We are part of the change", which offers recreational activities at the stand. This initiative is carried out together with "Seamos Bosques", a civil organization that works in the restoration of native forests in northwestern Argentina. From this partnership, for the second consecutive year, the company plants a native tree in the Tucuman yunga for each truck or bus marketed in 2023.
