Cheap Tesla is coming: Musk confirms production in Austin from mid-2025

reports, Tesla is said to have told suppliers that it wants to start production in mid-2025.
The news agency cites four people familiar with the matter.

The possible Model 2 or Model Q could therefore be a compact crossover.
At least that's what two of the insiders said.

The plan is not new.
Musk had already promised a cheap electric car at the beginning of 2020.
Because of the problems with the Cybertruck, Tesla temporarily put the project on hold.
In November 2023, the plans became more concrete again.
The price for the entry-level electric car should be around 25,000 US dollars (around 23,000 euros).
