Google and the Rashi Foundation together with the Center for Cyber ​​Education are launching in Israel Hello Tech, a program for studying technology and artificial intelligence for teenagers, students in grades 8 to 9, without prior background or screening. The program is being launched as a pilot in Umm El Fahem, Harish, and Beir Ofakim , whose students are currently experiencing a complex and difficult period.



In the future, the move is expected to expand to other cities with the goal of eventually exposing tens of thousands of 8th-9th grade students, from the geographic and social periphery, to studying artificial intelligence and imparting skills for the developing world of employment in the field. The goal of the move is to create Interest and motivation to continue studies in the field and to remove some of the barriers facing students from underrepresented populations, thereby promoting their integration into the high-tech industry in Israel. As part of the



launch of the program, experiential tours in the field of artificial intelligence were held in recent days for hundreds of students at the Google offices in Tel Aviv.

The students from Ofkim, Harish, Umm Al Fachem, Sderot, and dozens more from the evacuated southern settlements, toured stations that illustrate how artificial intelligence fits into our daily lives, tried out products and met Google employees.

The program will be operated by the Center for Cyber ​​Education, founded by the Rashi Foundation and with the help of Moona in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and the local authorities. The curriculum includes six-monthly courses. An introductory technology course for eighth graders and an artificial intelligence course for ninth graders. As part of the studies, the students will experience practical By studying Generative AI, they will learn about the behind-the-scenes of artificial intelligence, and will receive tools on how artificial intelligence can help them on a daily basis and how to use it in a responsible and safe manner. Special emphasis will be placed on high-tech skills such as critical thinking, self-learning and teamwork. To enhance the impact, The principals of the schools, and a large part of the teachers and parents of the students will undergo exposure workshops to artificial intelligence and technology.



Alongside the innovative curriculum, an education laboratory for artificial intelligence was established at Google. In the laboratory, the company's engineers from the field, working together with the Cyber ​​Education Center, are expected to develop additional content accessible to children in the coming years.
