The connection to Ducati is only in name/Ducati
The Hamilton Group announced today the start of importing Ducati scooters to Israel.
This is an interesting addition to the micromobility market, but the connection to the Italian motorcycle manufacturer owned by Volkswagen is only in name: the tools are produced by another Italian company, PLATUM, which purchased the rights to use its name from Ducati.
The company employs 80 people, with the operational and logistics center located in Bologna, where the motorcycle manufacturer is also located, but the headquarters is in Milan.
At least there is an operation screen and turn signals/Ducati
Hamilton promises to bring the variety of models of the project, which also includes folding electric bicycles, but in the meantime they are launching a single model: CITY CROSS EX.
The tool is made of aluminum, equipped with a 450 watt motor, a 36 volt battery, and comes with a promise of a range of 40-45 km/h, with an average speed of 15 km/h.
Charging an empty battery takes 5 hours.
The specification also includes 10-inch tires with no internals to prevent accidents, a double braking system that includes a front electric brake and a rear disc brake.
Rear and front LED lighting, a built-in LED display screen in the handlebars for displaying driving speed, battery status, lighting status and signal lights in the handlebars.
In addition, you can find an option to connect to the application via Bluetooth.
The tool weighs 20.7 kg.
In Europe, the tool is sold for 600-700 Euros (2,400-2,800 NIS). In Israel, it will be sold for 3,690 NIS.
