In the summer of 2020, a professional gambler died at the hands of a drunk, adrenaline-charged customer after losing his bet.

This man, Youssef, 33, appears from this Monday, January 29 before the Paris criminal court, for having, on August 22, 2020, committed violence resulting in death, under the influence of alcohol and accompanied by Racist Thoughts.

His lawyer, Me Maxime Cavaillé, intends to plead in favor of self-defense.

During the investigation, the defense pointed out that the gambling house had served him a little too much to drink to push him to spend his money.
