Billionaire Elon Musk announced tonight (between Monday and Tuesday, Israel time) that the brain chip of his start-up, "NeurLink", was implanted yesterday for the first time in the human brain of a living person, as reported by the Reuters news agency.
In May of last year, his start-up company received approval from the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to begin the first clinical trial in humans.

The brain chip called "Telepathy", developed by Musk's startup, was implanted on Sunday for the first time in a person, who is recovering from the procedure satisfactorily.
"He is recovering well. Initial results show promising neuronal activity," Musk wrote on his X account (formerly Twitter).
"The chip will make it possible to control the phone, computer or any other device - using only thought."
Musk said.
According to him, "The first users will be people with paralyzed limbs. Imagine if Stephen Hawking could communicate faster than an auctioneer. That's our goal."
The first human received an implant from @Neuralink yesterday and is recovering well.
Initial results show promising neuron spike detection.

The size of the chip is like a coin and it contains hermetically sealed electronic components.
Dozens of tiny electrodes are connected to the chip, which are implanted in the brain itself and transmit electrical signals from the neurons.
However, it is still too early to know how the human body will react to the implant, and whether tissue can grow around the electrodes or damage the electrical signals.
About three years ago, Musk told about implanting the chip in the skull of a monkey.
He then explained that by connecting "tiny wires" the monkey was able to play computer games using only the power of thought.
On the X network, Musk wrote in September that no monkey died as a result of the transplant.
About six months before, Musk introduced Gertrude the pig and showed how the chip is able to read brain activity.
In addition, he demonstrated how the chip implantation is carried out, fully automatically and mechanized, without human contact.
