In the period from January to December 2023, Lexus achieved a global record of 824,258 units sold, an increase of 32% compared to the previous year.
A growth that can be attributed - we read in the note from the premium brand of the Toyota Group - to the strong demand, in particular in North America, Europe and Japan and also to the recovery of the stable availability of components, which contributed to the increase in production and therefore deliveries.
"We express our gratitude - commented Takashi Watanabe, Lexus international president - to each of our customers for their trust. Lexus will continue to promote unique initiatives, focusing on the development and promotion of battery electric vehicles in pursuit of building a zero carbon emissions".
"Furthermore - said Watanabe - we are committed to responding promptly and precisely to customer needs, adapting to changing times and continually striving to create cars that are pleasant to drive and reliable."
In particular, Lexus sales in Europe reached 69,202 units (+46%), those in North America 355,606 (+24%), those in China 181,411 (+3%) and those in Japan 94,647 (+129%).
The ratio between sales of electrified Lexus and Ice vehicles globally reached a record level of 47% thanks to the expansion of the range with the new RX and the RZ Full Electric model.
Furthermore, in Europe, the commercial success of key models such as NX (41,367 units), RX (20,484) and UX (11,194) has helped make Lexus one of the fastest growing premium brands.
